phase schematic design

The project was designed as a part urban scale in mind and not as a disconnected building. There was given special attention to the connection to the metro through a public square and the connection between the many levels of the complex to its surroundings through numerous walkways and ramps. The structural design´s grid is made up of pre-fabricated concrete waffle structure with spans of 7,5 meters and a metallic structure with 20 meters spans, which is constant and independent from the programmatic functions of the building. Such pattern allows for great flexibility in the use of the space as well as added efficiency during the construction process.
